The rules for using Citizen Consulting.

01Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service apply to the Citizen Consulting website, forms, surveys, checkout pages, free reports, paid services, deliverables, client workspaces, and AI Partner access. By using the website, submitting a form, completing a survey, purchasing a service, or using a delivered file or workspace, you agree to these terms.

If you use Citizen Consulting on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that business or organization.

02What Citizen Consulting provides

Citizen Consulting is a productized consulting company for founders and smaller businesses. Our services may include a free Best First Business Report, a Full Build, Monthly Analysis, business-type surveys, strategy reports, operating workbooks, workflow guidance, and an AI Partner grounded on client materials.

The client-facing value is clarity, prioritization, practical tools, and a better operating system. Internal methods, templates, prompts, workflows, modeling logic, and production systems remain Citizen Consulting property unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

03Process, timing, and delivery

Citizen is async-first and artifact-based. The process usually begins with a survey and any useful uploads. Production starts only after intake is complete, usable, and matched to the purchased service.

• Standard Full Build timing is generally 72 hours to outline after complete intake, then 72 hours after outline approval to final delivery.
• Priority Full Build timing is generally 48 hours to outline after complete intake, then 48 hours after outline approval to final delivery.
• Delivery windows may pause if required information is missing, unclear, contradictory, unavailable, or delayed by the client.
• Monthly Analysis runs through a bounded monthly review cycle and depends on the client providing current, useful updates.

04Client responsibilities

You are responsible for giving accurate, lawful, complete, and non-misleading information. You are also responsible for reviewing drafts, approving direction, checking deliverables before use, and making final business decisions.

Do not upload sensitive personal information, confidential third-party information, regulated data, medical records, financial account credentials, passwords, trade secrets you are not allowed to share, or anything else that is not needed for the work.

05Payments, pricing, and taxes

Prices are shown on the relevant product, checkout, or invoice page. Unless stated otherwise, prices are in USD. Taxes, payment processing fees, currency conversion fees, and card fees may apply depending on your location and payment method.

Work may not begin until payment is accepted and the required intake is complete. We may update pricing, products, delivery options, and availability at any time, but those changes do not alter a paid order that we have already accepted unless both sides agree.

06Refunds and 30-day value guarantee

The Full Build includes a 30-day value guarantee. If the finished Full Build does not give you clear value, contact us within 30 days of final delivery. Citizen may review the work, correct a real gap, or refund you.

The guarantee is designed to protect against a delivered pack that does not provide clear value. It does not cover failure to complete intake, refusal to provide necessary information, change of mind after substantial work has been completed, misuse of deliverables, failure to act on the plan, market conditions, or outcomes outside Citizen’s control.

Free products have no purchase price to refund. Monthly Analysis subscriptions, if offered through checkout, apply to the relevant billing cycle and may be cancelled for future cycles according to the checkout or subscription settings available at the time.

07AI Partner and third-party tools

The AI Partner is a grounded AI workspace based on the materials provided or produced during the engagement. It is intended to help you understand the plan, revisit rationale, ask follow-up questions, and stay aligned with the delivered materials.

AI outputs can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing AI responses before relying on them. The AI Partner does not replace professional advice or human judgment.

Citizen may use third-party platforms for surveys, payments, file delivery, communications, AI workspaces, analytics, hosting, or automation. Your use of those platforms may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

08No professional advice or outcome guarantee

Citizen provides business-analysis, strategy, planning, operating-system, and AI-grounding support. Citizen does not provide legal, accounting, tax, investment, medical, mental health, insurance, human resources, regulated financial, engineering, or other licensed professional advice.

No deliverable, report, workbook, recommendation, AI response, or communication guarantees revenue, profit, fundraising, customer demand, hiring success, compliance, valuation, funding, approval, market fit, or execution results.

You should consult qualified professionals before making legal, accounting, tax, medical, investment, employment, regulatory, or high-risk business decisions.

09Ownership and permitted use

You retain ownership of the business information, files, notes, and materials you submit, subject to any rights held by others. You grant Citizen the limited right to use those materials to provide the service, build deliverables, improve the engagement, and maintain internal records.

After full payment, you may use the final delivered Business Plan, Citizen Operating System, and related client-facing deliverables for your own business operations. You may not resell, sublicense, publish, copy, reverse engineer, or commercialize Citizen’s templates, internal systems, prompts, workflows, models, methods, or reusable structures.

10Confidentiality and information handling

Citizen will take reasonable steps to handle client materials with care and to use them only for the engagement, internal operations, quality control, and service improvement. However, no website, form, AI system, payment processor, or cloud platform can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

You should not submit information that is unnecessary, highly sensitive, unlawful to share, or subject to restrictions that prevent you from providing it to Citizen.

11Acceptable use

You agree not to use Citizen Consulting, its website, forms, deliverables, or AI Partner to do anything unlawful, abusive, deceptive, harmful, infringing, or outside the intended business-planning purpose of the service.

• Do not submit malware, spam, fraudulent information, or content you do not have the right to share.
• Do not attempt to access systems, workspaces, files, or accounts that do not belong to you.
• Do not use Citizen outputs to misrepresent your business, deceive customers, violate laws, or harm others.
• Do not copy or reuse Citizen’s internal systems for competing products or services.

12Website content and availability

The website may contain general information, examples, descriptions, visuals, estimated timelines, product pages, FAQs, and checkout links. We may update, remove, revise, or discontinue content at any time.

We try to keep information accurate, but website content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, broken links, or temporary outages. If a product page, checkout page, or written agreement conflicts with general website copy, the more specific purchase or agreement terms normally control.

13Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Citizen Consulting provides the website, services, deliverables, and AI Partner on an “as available” and “as delivered” basis, without warranties that they will be perfect, error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every possible business situation.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Citizen will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, lost-profit, lost-revenue, lost-data, reputational, or business-interruption damages arising from use of the website, services, deliverables, or AI Partner.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Citizen’s total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

14Indemnity

You agree to be responsible for claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, your breach of these terms, your unlawful conduct, your business decisions, your submitted materials, or your violation of another person’s rights.

15Changes to these terms

Citizen may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when the page was last revised. Continued use of the website or services after an update means you accept the updated terms.

16Governing law and contact

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts or dispute-resolution forum with proper jurisdiction.
